SMIT has a dedicated career advancement service cell for the career assistance to the students.The training & placement committee at the institute comprises of the students, dedicated faculties and industrial professionals. The training & placement cell is headed by the director of the institute and he is the repository of all information and resources.  

The training & placement cell at SMIT serves as an interface to establish the best student for organization fit candidate. This builds the competencies that are of value in contemporary for future perspective as well as it develops total personality of the students by imparting the necessary life skills and inculcating social and spiritual sensitivity.
